Consultation

First step – During your initial visit you will be given a Personal Record Information Form to fill out regarding your general health, and your current health concern. Then the massage therapist will go through an assessment of your current condition that requires attention. She will ask you some specific question about the onset of pain, the quality and intensity of the pain, any referral pain pattern, history of previous injury, family history, factors that increase the pain and factors that improve the pain, how it affects your sleep and the performing of your daily activities. Then the therapist will perform a body posture analysis and a gait analysis (How your condition affects your walk. You will also be asked to perform to the best of your ability some range of motion of the affected area. The therapist will also conduct some orthopaedic tests as well as dermatomes and myotomes testing to obtain a more precise clinical impression. Then you will receive information about the required treatment and will receive your first session.

Insurance

People who have insurance for the purpose of massage therapy, can get reimbursed their incurred expenses. They just need to send a claim to their insurance company with the receipt provided by the Registered Massage Therapist at Carpe Diem Holistic Practitioner.
